Alumni and University Leaders to Discuss Cross-Country Entrepreneurism at Silicon Valley Roundtable

On Tuesday, November 18, Illinois computer science alumni including Max Levchin, Jawed Karim, Scott Banister, and Tom Siebel will participate in a panel discussion with other Illinois leaders to discuss how the landscape is changing for entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, the obstacles new entrepreneurs face and where the new opportunities are. Illinois alumni will discuss how their connection to Illinois uniquely positioned their success in Silicon Valley, and how they view the future of entrepreneurialism. The event takes place in Silicon Valley.

The University of Illinois graduates more computer science, electrical engineering, and computer engineering students than MIT, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon combined. Illinois leaders will discuss a new landscape at Illinois for educating entrepreneurial leaders and for translating the research done on campus into applications that will address the world's most critical problems.
