Professor
Roy Campbell has been elected an IEEE Fellow by the
organization’s Board of Directors effective January 1, 2005. He is
being recognized for his contributions to the profession in the
areas of concurrent programming, system software, security, and
ubiquitous computing.
This is one of the IEEE’s most prestigious honors given to its
senior members. It is presented to less than 0.1% of its 350,000
members from more than 160 countries.
Other current CS faculty who are IEEE Fellows include: Gul Agha,
David Padua, Jean Ponce, Lui Sha, Marc Snir, and Josep Torrellas. |
